David was one of the best- a real gentleman. He will be sadly missed by all. With great sadness, Gordon Ellis I went to Rotary meeting as chair of Thirsk Ladies Club . I was then asked to thank the speaker for the evening. After I did so David came across to me and said very quietly " Thank you so much for doing that - it was a lovely vote of thanks " . He was a dear , kind man and his gesture was typical of his benevolent nature . He will be greatly missed . Janet Ellis .
