It is so sad to learn of Davids passing. He was a close friend over many years, sharing entertainment family events, dining and travelling. We enjoyed many holidays together with Verna in France, Czechoslovakia, Malta and a memorable Mediterranean cruise of 23 days when we struggled to wean David off bridge. Thankfully not that controlled by ships captain merely the game David excelled at and loved so dearly. As a Rotary colleague he gave tremendous support as my Vice president in the Millennium year. He was a true gentleman, in every respect, a highly principled former JP with sharp wit and warm heart. A valued friend whose memory will never be forgotten. June & Derek Gardiner
